OUR RECORD

“I stand with the Lourdes, Adriana, Tait, and their whole team because they stood with us during our strike. Day after day, they walked the picket lines with us in our fight for a fair contract, and they fought for us at city hall and at the bargaining table. I’ll never forget their dedication to us.”

BUSSING
Helping Our Members Move Forward
TRANSIT
Moving the Community
The Garcia * Salazar Team led Local 572 MV Santa Clarita members through a tough eight-week strike which resulted in significant wage increases and improvements to retirement benefits. The industry-leading contract that was won paved the way for our contract campaigns at other transit and school bus locations.
Our Team’s innovative campaign strategies and relentless commitment to winning strong contracts for Local 572 members resulted in the City of Los Angeles granting of additional millions of dollars into their MV contract so that the additional funds could be used to pay higher wages, pension increases, and top-tier medical coverage to Local 572 MV DASH members. This infusion of money helped not only Local 572 members, but other Teamsters Locals reap benefits as well.
Through the efforts of the Teamsters 572 Garcia * Salazar Avila Team, the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust has been negotiated into several transit contracts, spearheading our efforts to secure a solid pension for all transit employees.
